Dear Readers:
Every pregnant woman, as well as every woman contemplating becoming pregnant, should read this post. You will undoubtedly identify with it. More importantly, it discusses a powerful coping tool for dealing with worrisome and unproductive thinking.
As I write this, I am almost five months pregnant with our first baby.
LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
Up until a few years ago, I had been fat and generally unhealthy for most of my adult life. I really worked hard to prepare myself both physically and emotionally so that when I did become pregnant, I would be in the best possible shape. I was investing in myself, and the future of our child.
Well, as it turns out, those issues that I had worked so diligently on still show up to haunt me, especially when I am particularly fatigued and when my hormones start getting the best of me. Among my worries and concerns is that I will not be a good mother, or that the stress from my current employment might be impacting my unborn baby... that the stress might actually be carrying over to him.
The INTERNAL ENERGY PLUS System has helped me to work through these fears and doubts. It is not a quick fix, but rather a way of slowing down, putting my thoughts into proper, clearer perspective, and seeing my way through them without becoming emotionally entangled in them. I see my fears for what they truly are (e.g., simply negative thoughts about remote possibilities), and I am able to "de-emotionalize" them so that they can no longer exert power over me.
Going through the practice of INTERNAL ENERGY PLUS and the twelve postures does require diligence and practice, but it is certainly worth the effort invested. With the ability to exercise control over my negative thoughts, doubts and fears, I am able to re-focus my thinking on my strengths as a mother-to-be, and feel much more self-confident and sure of myself in my upcoming role as a first-time mother.
I will be speaking with you soon.
